A MAN is seriously injured after he was knifed in a supermarket carpark forcing passers-by to intervene and bring down the attacker.
Police in Oberhausen, Germany, arrested a suspect after a man was stabbed causing serious wounds.
Authorities say the victim was in supermarket carpark when he was attacked.
He managed to escape, but was chased by his assailant who stabbed him again in his side.
The victim is then said to have collapsed as the suspect continued his attack.
Police said passers-by managed to convince him to let the victim go.
They then detained the suspect until emergency services arrived.
Paramedics rushed the victim to hospital.
Last August a knifeman went on the rampage at a music festival in the town with a picnic knife.
A 26-year-old man from Germany was later arrested after scores of people were injured.
Witnesses claim the knifeman was shouting “Allahu Akbar” as he lunged with the knife.
Authorities later said the man was homeless and on drugs.
Germany, and the continent, has been hit by a wave of terror attacks in recent months.
From the massacres in Paris, Nice, Brussels and Berlin, to ‘lone wolf’ attacks in a Normandy Church, a bombing in Ansbach, a shooting in Munch and an axe attack on a German train.
