ISIS Terror Group Claims 'Jihad Against Jews' Rocket Attack In Israel

An Isis-linked Palestinian terrorist group has claimed responsibility for launching a rocket attack on southern Israel.

The rocket struck the southern border town of Sderot on the Gaza border on Wednesday morning (5 October) after “red alert” warnings were sounded, local media reported.

No one was injured in the attack. Photographs from the scene show a small crater in a road in Sderot caused by the rocket.

Bomb disposal squads were at the scene of impact, which was cordoned off to the public.

Isis-linked jihadist group Ahfad al-Sahaba claimed responsibility for the attack in an online statement, saying the attack was part of the “jihad against Jews”, and a response to the recent arrest of operatives of the group by Hamas, the Islamist organisation that controls the Gaza Strip.

Haaretz reports that the group is allied with Isis-linked Salafist groups in Gaza, and claimed responsibility for a rocket attack on the town on 21 August, which did not cause any injuries. However, 20 people were reportedly injured in retaliatory strikes by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF)….
