RANCHI: A Hindi teacher Nazia Hussain (wrongly reported as Nezma Khatoon earlier) of Sapphire International School along with her 16-year-old son Sharif Ansari (name changed), husband Arif Ansari and daughter were arrested on Wednesday for allegedly killing a Class VII student Vinay Mahto on Friday because "the boy had a crush on her 12-year-old daughter which her son did not like".
The body of the boy, Vinay Mahto, was found outside the teachers' quarters where Nazia (in her late 30s) lives with her husband and two children.
"The teacher and her family were upset about Vinay's friendship with her 11-year-old daughter. The teacher's son, a class 11 student of the same school, invited Vinay for a dinner with his sister and managed to lure him to his house on Thursday night. He told him that his mother would cook something special for them," a police official said.
Ranchi SSP Kuldeep Dwivedi said Vinay was in love with the girl, a class junior to him in the same school. "Sharif was continuously teased by his friends about the alleged affair his sister was having with Vinay. It led him to develop a strong hatred for Vinay. The entire family was pained with the relationship," the SSP said.
On Thursday, Sharif met Vinay at the basketball court and invited him for dinner with his sister at the teachers' quarter after midnight. Vinay readily agreed. Sharif asked Vinay to come after midnight when no one in the campus would be able to see him. [...]
